Visit student groups and Office of Sustainability EcoReps at tables by the flagpole to learn more about student sustainability projects on campus and how you can get involved.

Sustainability continues to reshape the food industry, and the business behind your favorite food brands is more dynamic than you might think. Join Kogodfor a panel discussion with three local food business leaders to hear firsthand how sustainability drives their businesses forward.

Join the Office of Sustainability and our staff and faculty partners from across campus for a celebration of our sustainability progress over the last year.Partners will share successes, snacks, andgiveaways,includingHousing & Residence Life, ĢƵ Kitchen, AHealthyU, Parking & Commuter Services, Center for Wellbeing, SIS Department of Environment, Development, and Health, and the Facilities Management Energy & Engineering department and Zero Waste Office. Have stuff you no longer need as you move out of your residence hall or apartment in May? Donate it to Project Move Out!This annual partnership between the Office of Sustainability, the Facilities Management Zero Waste Office, Housing & Residence Life, and other campus partners collected more than 17 tons of donations last year. Join ĢƵ’s Office of Sustainability and Center for Environment, Community, & Equity for a symposium celebrating the depth and breadth of sustainability scholarship on campus. Faculty from across campus will participate in three panel discussions sharing the relationship between sustainability and The Civic Life, Community Building, and Service.

Campus Race to Zero Waste

This spring, ĢƵ is participating in thea national competition between colleges anduniversities to reduce waste and increase diversion rates. Throughout the eight-week competition, we will share data about how much waste our campus is generating (recycling, compost, and trash) and provide resources that you can use to help ĢƵ reduce the amount of waste being sentto landfill and incineration.If you are member of the ĢƵ community,get involvedand help us reach zero waste!

Join the Office of Sustainability, AHealthyU, and ĢƵ's DEI consultant for a discussion about the intersections between health, climate, and equity. This month, we are reading about how the Black Panther Party sowed the seeds for today's food justice movement.

Office Supply Swap with Staff Council,9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Kogod room 234

Drop off office supplies you no longer use and swap them for ones you need. We will accept and redistribute supplies likepens, markers, paper, staplers, paper clips and rubber bands, sticky notes, and storage and organization items, as well as old or unused ĢƵ merch & swag. Anything not redistributed among our campus community will be donated or recycled.

Waste audit of MGC, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., the quad (rain location is Katzen parking garage by loading dock)

Get hands-on with ĢƵ's waste stream at a waste audit of a day's waste from the Mary Graydon Center. Sort through our waste to see how much could be composted and recycled if sorted correctly, and learn about commoncontaminants and waste sorting myths. PPE will be provided!

Tip off the Campus Race to Zero Waste at the annual Sustainability Awareness Basketball Game! Cheer on a year's sustainability progress and cheer on the men's basketball team as they take on Lafayette. Meet us in Bender Arena at 6pm.

E-Waste Collection Drive
EcoReps will be set up across campus to collect E-Waste such as appliances, computers, phones, cords, batteries, and more. You can find location stations at theLetts-Anderson Quad, the entrances of Cassell, Hughes, and Nebraska Halls, and at the eagle statue on East Campus from 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm, on October 22nd-24th.
