Originally from Indianapolis, IN, JuQuay has built a career helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom. JuQuay earned a BA in Mathematics and Education from Denison University and a Master's in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University.
Currently working as the Associate Director of Student Engagement and Events at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ in DC, JuQuay develops strategic plans for student retention, success, and belonging within the School of Education (SOE). In this role, she creates programming designed to build community relationships, advises student organizations, and connects SOE students to university-wide resources. JuQuay also supports alumni affairs and develops initiatives that raise the visibility and profile of the School of Education across campus.
Before joining Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, JuQuay spent three years at Johns Hopkins University in multiple roles with the last being Assistant Director of Programming and Traditions. As the AD of Programming and Traditions, JuQuay oversaw the programming board and their events as well as all major traditions at JHU such as Lighting of the Quads – a firework celebration, Hoptoberfest, Spring Fair and concerts.
Prior to moving to the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, JuQuay was the Center Director of Mathnasium of Columbus East, where she helped countless students develop their math skills and provided college access programming.
With a passion for education, event planning, and creating meaningful student experiences, JuQuay continues bringing energy and expertise to campus life in Washington, DC.
