Kenneth G. Lore ‘73 Partner, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP 

Mr. Lore holds both his graduate and undergraduate degrees from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the School of Public Affairs in 1970, and his JD from the Washington College of Law in 1973. As a law student he was an associate editor and symposium editor for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Law Review. 

Mr. Lore remains active with WCL on the Dean's Advisory Council, his participation in mock-interviews with students and his membership in the Myers Society since 1988.  

He is also the author of Mortgage-Backed Securities: Developments and Trends in the Secondary Market, and several articles which have appears in publications such as Legal Times, New York Law Journal, and The Mortgage Banker. He lectures on real estate finance at industry forums and seminars and is frequently interviewed by the real estate and general press for commentary on industry developments and has been a featured speaker on regional and national news broadcasts. Mr. Lore was named by The Best Lawyers in America as a leading lawyer in real estate law from 2008-2020, and in 2006 and 2007 he was listed as one of the four top real estate transactional lawyers by the Washington Business Journal. He has also served as chair and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Smithsonian National Zoo, National Archives Foundation, and Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies. 

Ken Lore serves as head of Katten’s East Coast Real Estate practice and is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He focuses his practice on complex equity and debt real estate transactions. Ken also advises participants such as developers, underwriters and banks in all aspects of real estate projects. He writes extensively on real estate law, and his articles have been published in Legal Times, New York Law Journal and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Law Review. Ken also lectures on real estate finance at industry forums and seminars and has been a featured speaker on regional and national news broadcasts.Â
